WinWinKit vs FirstPromoter
A side-by-side look at which platform fits your mobile app.
The Key Difference
FirstPromoter runs affiliate programs for SaaS companies, and it’s good at it. Its integrations tell you exactly who it’s for: Stripe, Paddle, Recurly, Braintree - the billing providers behind web-based subscription products. If your customers subscribe on your website, FirstPromoter was built around your workflow.
WinWinKit was built around a different one. Mobile subscriptions don’t run through your billing provider; they run through Apple and Google. And the App Store sits between the marketing touchpoint and the purchase, which breaks the referral link chain that web attribution depends on - the click happens in a browser, the install happens in a store, and the subscription happens inside the app.
So WinWinKit doesn’t hang attribution on the link. Affiliates still get links and landing pages, but every link carries a unique code, and it’s the code - claimed inside your app, explicitly and intentionally - that records the referral. No cookies, no fingerprinting, no third-party attribution SDK. Everything else - the reward types, the integrations, the pricing model - follows from that choice.

When to Choose WinWinKit
- Your users subscribe through the app stores. Code-based tracking is the only approach that reliably survives the App Store install boundary, and it doesn’t degrade as Apple restricts tracking with each iOS release.
- You want commissions off real revenue. WinWinKit reads subscription revenue directly from App Store Connect and Google Play, or through RevenueCat if that’s your setup - either way commissions are calculated against what you actually earned, not an estimated conversion.
- You want rewards a web platform can’t offer. Show a special paywall with a RevenueCat Offering, unlock premium with an Entitlement, or hand out an App Store Offer Code or Google Play Promo Code - all from the dashboard, not your codebase.
- Your app onboards on the web. Plenty of subscription apps sell the first payment on their own site and deliver the product in the app. WinWinKit tracks Stripe purchases alongside App Store and Google Play ones, so a single code follows the user wherever the payment lands.
- You need more than one growth channel. Affiliates, referrals, and promo codes run on the same attribution system and the same revenue tracking, rather than one tool bolted onto another.
- You’re recruiting partners from scratch. Public application forms, invite links, and shared assets and FAQs make onboarding lighter.
When to Choose FirstPromoter
- Your product lives in the browser. FirstPromoter, like most affiliate platforms, is built around web subscriptions - a referral link, a cookie, and a purchase on your own site. WinWinKit handles web checkout when it feeds an app; if there’s no app at all, its in-app codes buy you nothing.
- You bill through Paddle, Recurly, or Braintree. FirstPromoter integrates with all three directly. WinWinKit connects to RevenueCat, the app stores, and Stripe, so if your revenue runs through one of those billing providers there’s no path in.
- You need a wide automation surface. FirstPromoter’s Zapier connection reaches thousands of tools. WinWinKit has no Zapier integration - you wire things up against the REST API and SDKs yourself.
